The grand opening of MOSI's newest permanent exhibit Mission: Moonbase is taking place on Saturday, December 15 at the Museum of Science and Industry in North Tampa.
Presented by MOSI and NASA, Mission: Moonbase is a 2,500-square-foot interactive exhibit which will take MOSI guests on a virtual trip to the moon's surface where they will become part of a simulated operation working as a lunar colony in the year 2070.
Mission: Moonbase was made possible by a $1.2 million grant from NASA after three years of development.
