Description
USF professor John Robison and guest soprano Maggie Coleman present an absolutely amazing program of solo music for lute, theorbo, and archlute, along with English Renaissance and Italian Baroque songs.
Event Details
The program includes solo music for 10-course Renaissance lute by English, Flemish, French, Italian, and German composers, solo theorbo music by Piccinini, and archlute pieces by Melii and Zamboni. All genres of early instrumental music will be represented on the program, including preludes, dance music, variations, and fantasies. The vocal portion of the concert will include Elizabethan lute songs by Campion and Dowland, plus Italian Baroque songs with the continuo parts performed on the theorbo or archlute.
Tickets are $10 Students/$15 General Admission.
