Hula Bay is located just over the Gandy Bridge in Tampa off of Westshore. It's location is kind of weird because it is in the middle of an industrial zone and you wouldn't expect a nice, upscale establishment to be in an area like this. There are 2 restaurants- Hula Bay and Dukes. Hula Bay is more upscale, has a sushi bar, indoor dining and a pool with cabanas. Kind of has a Miami feel to it. Dukes is a more relaxed atmosphere and is basically a laid back outdoor bar. So you get the best of both worlds at this establishment.
Pros: Waterfront dining with uninterupted seascape. Great dock to dock your boat. Great atmosphere. Good mix of people.
Cons: Food and drinks are expensive.

Pros: Hula Bay’s Sundays Days have the hottest chicks in the 813 in bikinis. If you want to see beautiful people everywhere get there on Sunday at 230-300pm.

I went there for lunch and got to sit on the outside deck right on the water. The service was awesome, Ryan was very attentive. The food was amazing, I would highly recommend the kabobs and the almond crusted shrimp appetizer!

Amazing happy hour. 3.50 drinks and $5 appetizers!

Loved our time on this deck!
Pros: Nearby

I had a great time here, we went for happy hour one day. It's right on the water so you can't beat the atmosphere. Also, there was a live band playing and they were pretty decent. We got some of the happy hour specials, sushi, hush puppies and artichoke dip. Enjoyed everything we had, I will not say it is the best food in the world but I enjoyed it and it was cheap. Our friend that was with us felt that the crowd was a little too 'old' for him but I didn't care and I actually enjoyed the crowd of people that were there. I will definitely be returning.
Pros: Atmosphere, Food

Mediocre food and otherwise run of the mill beach restaurant. I would advise going on pool party days.
Pros: Great location on the water and a very nice change from Rattlefish.
Cons: Maybe i went at a bad time but there was a pool party going on there so we couldnt go down by the pool on a Sunday. It looked like a very young party with a lot of trashy girls dancing and drinking. We also had a 45 minute wait to sit.
