We've tried to refrain from the terribly corny "back street's back, alright!" introductory sentence, but seriously, back street's back, alright, and they'll be here in Tampa on August 23.

That's right, one of the world's most loved and successful boy bands of the 90's, the Backstreet Boys, will return for a performance at Tampa's Live Nation Amphitheatre on Friday, August 23rd.

The Tampa stop is one of many on their “In a World Like This” tour which kicks off on August 2 in Chicago and celebrates the group's 20th anniversary, following their Orlando beginnings back in 1993.

The Backstreet Boys have sold more than 130 records throughout their career.  They took a brief hiatus from 2003 to 2003 before returning to solid success with a slew of three albums and numerous singles since.  They're currently touring with all five original members.

If the Backstreet Boys themselves arent enough nostalgia for you in one concert, Jesse McCartney of 90's pop and All My Children fame as well as Jersey Shore star-turned-mixmaster DJ Pauly D are set to open the show.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 17 with prices ranging from $29 to $69.  To purchase tickets, head to livenation.com, the Amphitheatre box office, or check out tickets.813area.com for some of the best ticket deals in the Tampa Bay area.
