When it comes to partying, we Tampa-ans have a wide variety of neighborhoods and their respective establishments to choose from.  We've got Ybor City, the notorious nightlife district packed to the brim with clubs and music venues, not to be outdone by other party-fond areas like Channelside and Hyde Park.

Kennedy Boulevard, though, is gearing up to join the ranks of these other notorious Tampa party districts with a proliferation of new businesses and renovated design standards - sidewalks closer to the front doors of businesses, street lamps, and trees lining certain walking areas of this popular street.

The newest nightlife addition to the boulevard, Tonic, opened recently boosting Kennedy's status as a reputable nightlife district in Tampa.  Featuring two stories with a cabana-filled back patio, Tonic now joins the likes of other Kennedy Boulevard clubs like The Kennedy, and The Bungalow.

Speaking of the Kennedy, Lady Gaga thought it'd be a suitable club (out of all of them in Tampa, mind you) to stop into after her Forum concert and perform her newest single "Judas" to the ~350 people in attendance.  If that's not good advertising then we don't know what is.

Ryan Quinn, a part-owner of the previously mentioned Bungalow is also planning to open another upscale, nightlife hub on Kennedy named the Fire Bar and Grill, slated to open during the Summer of 2011.

By the time all these additions and renovations are done on Kennedy Boulevard, you'll have a really hard time claiming Tampa's got nothing to do at night.  Check it out today and see what we're talking about.  Cheers!
