It’s no secret. Over the past few years, Tampa has become a bustling craft beer town. In 2014, the Bay Area’s 30+ production breweries crowned Tampa as the 2nd Best Beer Town in America by the readers of USA Today and 10Best. Bay Area brews are sought out by craft beer lovers across the country and Florida’s craft beer exports are at an all time high.

Tourists and locals alike are thirsty to try the newest brews from local favorites Cigar City, Green Bench, Motorworks, and 3 Daughters Brewing as well as newcomers like Angry Chair and Cycle Brewing.  And there’s no better place to sample these beers than in the historic heart of Tampa, Ybor City.

Tapping soon in the Centro Ybor Complex on Seventh Avenue is the newest location of The Brass Tap - Centro Ybor, an upscale craft beer emporium that is opening their doors to the public on Monday, January 19th.  The Brass Tap is one of a host of national brand name establishments putting their faith in the new Ybor.  Just in time for parade season, The Brass Tap will offer 300 craft beers, premium wines, cocktails, contemporary pub food, cigars, a classy interior, and live music.

Beer options abound at The Brass Tap with over 300 local and imported craft beers. Emphasizing draft beer, the Brass Tap will feature around 80 taps with 30 or more local options. With the plethora of tap handles, patrons can enjoy drafts from local favorites as well as craft breweries from around the country and around the world.

The Brass Tap also offers a staggering variety of bottled beers.  The menu is divided into 24 categories offering bottles in the more standard Ale, Belgian, Cider, and Lager categories as well as more unique bottles in the Barleywine, Bock, Gueuze, Gluten Free, Saison, Schwarzbier, Scotch, and Vegetable Beer categories.

In addition to beer, The Brass Tap offers an impressive variety of house and premium wines as well as a full liquor menu. Cocktails include the Brass Tap Bloody Mary, the Uptown Mojito, Platinum Margarita, and Classic Gin and Vodka Martinis as well as more inventive choices like the Ginger 46 featuring Makers 46, Grand Marnier, fresh lemon sour, ginger beer, and a Pinot Noir float. Other craft cocktails include The Pistol Whip, Lemon Basil Whiskey Sour, and the Brass Mule, served in a brass mug with a bottle of ginger beer.

Because man can’t live on beer alone, The Brass Tap offers a full menu including soups, salads, entrees, specialty tacos, flatbreads, pretzel pizzas, and even craft sodas! Popular starters include Pepper Jack Mac, jumbo Baked Pretzels served with The Brass Tap’s signature Pale Ale Chipotle Mustard, and Amsterdam Street Fries served with a variety of toppings.
