Florida – A celebration of the “Cubano” and its Rich Culinary and History! An exciting FREE Food & Art COMMUNITY event! Meet some of the winners of the 5th Annual Cuban Sandwich Smackdown as they are recognized on stage PLUS the first members of the Cuban Sandwich Hall of Fame!
Event Details: Saturday, May 14th, 2016: HCC Ybor Campus. TIME: Noon-5:00 PM
The Biggest Cuban Sandwich in the World.
Address: 1403 E. 9th Ave, Tampa, FL. 33605 (9th Ave & 15th St – Next to the Don Vicente!)
Line up: HCC in Ybor City, Florida, as we attempt to make the BIGGEST Cuban Sandwich in the World! “We will be attempting to break the record we set in Orlando on Feb 20th @ Valencia College, that effort was led by Cuba Libre Restaurant and Rum Bar, and the sandwich measured 120 ft. (No Salami!) The sandwich was sponsored by Chaney Brothers, and was donated to Second Harvest, a homeless shelter. The Sandwich fed almost 400 people.” Commented event co-founder, and the president of Latin Times Media, Inc. Jolie Gonzalez-Padilla.
This year, several VIPs/Celebrities will be joining us to make the Biggest Cuban Sandwich in the World – this year’s Cuban Sandwich has a goal of measuring 125 ft or more! This is sandwich is then cut up and used to feed almost 400 homeless people!
