Bullfrog Creek's 1st Annual Pinewood Derby
Event Details
We will be hosting our 1st Annual Pinewood derby car competition on Saturday January 11, 2020 to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. The entry fee os $20 and 100% of the proceeds will go to ACS. The overall winner in each class will get bragging rights and the Boxcar Trophy

There will be two class:
OPEN (adult) and Stock (kids)
*****Stock rules******
CAR SPECIFICATIONS:
Width — 2 3/4″
Length — 7″
Weight — Not over 5 ounces
Width between wheels — 1 3/4″
Bottom clearance between car and track — 3/8″
RULES:
- Wheel bearings, washers and bushings are prohibited.
- The car shall not ride on springs.
- Only official Cub Scout Grand Prix Pinewood Derby wheels and axles are permitted.
- Only dry lubricant is permitted.
Details, such as steering wheel and driver are permissible as long as these details do not exceed the maximum length, width and weight specifications.
- The care must be free-wheeling, with no starting devices.
- Each car must pass inspection, the owner will be informed of the reason for failure, and will be given time within the official weigh-in time period to make adjustment.
- After final approval, cars will not be reinspected unless the car is damaged in handling or in a race.

Rules
- The car weight shall not exceed 32.0 ounces. The official race scale shall be considered final.
- The overall length of the car shall not exceed 10 inches.
- The overall width of the car shall not exceed 3 inches.
- The maximum height of the car cannot exceed 5 inches (Adjust this limit so that the cars will pass under your finish gate).
- The car must have 3/8” clearance underneath the body.
- Must use the some part of the original wood block and all four wheel from the kit in the build.
- Anything that requires fire or spark to ignite is NOT allowed.
- All car will be launch by the gate operator and you are not allow to launch your
