HEARTBEAT BRAZIL's exciting event captures the frenzy, energy and pulse of Brazil's streets and it's complex culture - with the strength and muscle of American music - masterfully blended together into a unique and accessible sound which maintains the core messages from afro-brazilian traditions across many centuries.
The award winning musicians of this ensemble are endeavoring to reach far deeper into the Brazilian culture than the majority of Brazilian bands which are mostly playing only Samba and Bossa Nova.
All the performers of HEARTBEAT BRAZIL have performed and toured with the world's biggest entertainers such as Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Al Jarreau, Melissa Manchester and many others.
Band leader Stephan Oberhoff who often toured the region as musical director of Melissa Manchester, Brenda Russell, Jeffrey Osborne and others, has created a richly orchestrated, original and moving show, blending the influences of Jazz, Bossa, Samba, and Pop.
