Tampa Bay has new restaurants opening, what feels like every day! As a foodie myself, it’s hard to keep up with all of the new restaurants that are popping up all over the Bay. However, we’ve made it easy for you to keep up by listing them below.
On July 1, South Tampa gained a new beachside cocktail bar that touts fine Caribbean cuisine and prime golden hour views. If you’re looking for a tiki bar that will make you feel like you’re on vacation on any given afternoon, Salt Shack on the Bay is the perfect destination. I’ve seen pictures of their food and drinks, both will make you feel bad and bougie and excited to return for more.
7th and Grove just opened this weekend in Ybor City! It is a spacious southern eatery that is serving up rich and traditional fare from Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas for those of you who are from the south to get a taste of home. You can expect to try deliciously-mixed cocktails like their Jungle Wildflower Cocktail and tasty bar bites like their lollipop wings and cheddar jalapeno cornbread.
Stone’s Throw is the newest restaurant to join the Armature Works waterfront area in Tampa Heights. Right on the water, this much-anticipated oyster bar had a fabulous opening weekend. With gorgeous views of the Tampa Skyline, this is bound to be a really popular spot for Happy Hour on Friday nights. Well, at least it will be for me! :p
Though they’ve been under construction for what feels like forever (I pass them every day on the way to work and my mouth waters!), Psomi is due to open later this summer. With authentic Greek cuisine and a central location to South Tampa and Downtown, this is a much-anticipated opening.
Looking to satisfy your next pizza craving with something new? Well, order Boss Bitch Pizza from UberEats, DoorDash or Postmates and you’re every pizza craving will be satisfied without sacrificing flavor. Not only do they make some delicious gluten-free vegan cauliflower crust but they also name their pies after some boss bitches in History. For example, you can grab The Jackie Kennedy, The Donatella and The Audrey Hepburn pizzas without feeling guilty!
Authentic Italian restaurants have been popping up in Tampa since last year and you know CRG wanted a piece of the pizza pie! Jeff Gigante opened Forbici Modern Italian a few months ago and their ratings have deemed them a must-try restaurant of the summer. They have delicious pizzas, fresh pasta and other Italian plates that will keep your tummy from grumbling until your next meal. They just started a happy hour, so stop by for a cocktail Friday afternoon to start your weekend off right!
Opening this Friday is another local brewery that plans to bring flavor to Historic West Tampa! They will be the first brewery in the area since DeSoto Brewing shut down in 1936, so owners Juaire and Joe Simmons will be brewing up their signature selection of craft beers, including a Hazy Brut IPA and a Brut Belgian, in the renovated former theater. Stop by for a Sunday Funday this summer and taste for yourself!
If you’ve never tried Ecuadorian food, Mi Bello Ecuador Ristorante is a fabulous place to start! Since it’s opening on June 11th, they’ve been busy. Serving up colorful and authentic dishes ranging from fried potato patties to seafood plates, this is the premier destination for Ecuadorian food in Tampa!
