By now, the local Mexican restaurant chain Taco Bus has reached near-legendary stature when it comes to fast, fresh, and affordable Mexican fare served throughout multiple locations in the Tampa Bay area.

But, they're not stopping there.  According to the Tampa Tribune, the owners of this beloved taco hub and food truck plan to open their largest location yet off Adamo Drive in Brandon by the spring of 2013.

The new Taco Bus location won't change much, though.  The new location will utilize the same menu and prices as their original location on Hillsborough Avenue in North Tampa.  Much like their original location, the new Taco Bus in Brandon will also have at least two food trucks that will work as both parked, functioning kitchens at the new location and travelling food trucks that serve throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Owner Rene Venezuela is hoping for a spring 2013 opening date, but he cautions the date might change due to the unpredictable nature of the local restaurant market according to the Tribune.

Venezuela has purchased a 25-year lease on a former cement factory on South Falkenburg Road, just a short distance north of East Adamo Drive in Brandon for the new Taco Bus location.  The new site will be about twice the size of previous Taco Bus locations with 100 indoor seats as well as seating for 40 on an outdoor patio.

The new Taco Bus in Brandon will join the restaurants existing lineup of locations in Downtown Tampa, North Tampa, the USF area, and  Downtown St. Petersburg.
