If your restaurant was built in 1919, and is still around, albeit in slightly different form today, then there's definitely a winning formula somewhere in that equation.  That's the case with The Bungalow in Hyde Park, a retro hangout perfect for some casual relaxation, drinks, and dining.

If the beautiful scenery of Hyde Park or the warm Florida weather is your thing, opt for some outdoor seating where you can bask in the surrounding palm trees and dine on a a quick business lunch or long dinner with friends.

If you're looking for a little more than food and scenery, The Bungalow's got you covered with a variety of live music on the weekend and trivia nights throughout the week.

Oh, and the food, we should probably talk about that, too.  First off, it's award-winning.  The Sunday brunch has been voted the best in Tampa Bay for two years by Metromix.  Head out there early for a good seat and choose from an eclectic variety of morning meals like shrimp and grits with Tasso ham, cheddar cheese, and jalapeño grits, grilled shrimp and roasted corn salsa; or, the spicy Caribbean hash with andouille sausage , onions, peppers, and fried potatoes and topped with Monterey jack cheese, poached eggs, and a Pickapeppa hollandaise.

Dinner entrees are also taste-worthy with selections like grilled chicken pesto pasta loaded with grilled chicken and roasted garlic pesto or the fish tacos with grilled fish, chipotle sour cream, black beans, cabbage, and onions.

If you find yourself in the Hyde Park area, check out this great restaurant.  It's one of our local favorites, so let us know what you think of The Bungalow!
