A Doll's House
A CWP Black Box Production

This epochal drama of marriage and the individual portrays a controlling husband, and his wife, a submissive young woman who, when their idealized homelife collapses, comes to the realization that she must finally close the door on her husband, children, and life in “a doll’s house” in order to find and live as her true self.
Production Dates are August 8 - 17, 2019

THIS IS A NON-PAID OPPORTUNITY.
Auditioners are highly encouraged to prepare a short dramatic monologue. There will also be cold readings from the script. Those auditioning for the children's roles will be asked to tell a brief story rather than present a monologue.
Casting Information:
Torvald Helmer – (Male, age 30-45) Nora Helmer’s husband. He has received a new position at the bank, and enjoys his position of authority. He also enjoys his authority over his wife. He cares about her, but also teases her, treats her like a child, and patronizes her. He is all too concerned with society’s view of himself.
Nora Helmer – (Female, age 25-35) Torvald Helmer’s wife. She appears to be playful, innocent, and naïve. She has a rebellious side and does have some world experience under her belt. She is pressured by her family and friends to maintain society’s view of marriage, but she finds the strength to do what is right for herself.
Mrs. Linden – (Female, age 25-40) Nora’s childhood friend. She is
