Description
Tampa’s most historic – and most haunted – majestic movie palace presents 13 nights of petrifying programming on Oct. 19-31
Event Details
This is for everyone from hard-core horror fans to the gentlest ghosts & goblins, including classic horror movies, family-friendly Halloween films, Ghosts of Tampa Theatre tours, special guests, an evening of live storytelling, and a special presentation of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
With more than two dozen spooky classics being screened in less than two weeks, A Nightmare on Franklin Street (now in its sixth year) remains the premiere Halloween film and event series in the Tampa Bay area. No matter how you like to get scared, we have movies on the schedule for you: cult classics, family favorites, big-budget blow-outs, no-budget B-movie disasters, special presentations with live guests you’ll never forget, and everything in between!
Who was the man in seat 308? Where did Robert Lanier tear his final ticket? Why does Fink Finley continue to roam the balcony? And what has led to Tampa Theatre being known as one of the most haunted buildings in town? Learn the Theatre’s secrets and stories on one of our ever-popular and highly demanded “balcony to backstage” ghost tours.
Seeing spirits on the silver screen and facing filmed frights is nice and everything, but what if you’re in the mood for something a little more social? A Nightmare on Franklin Street brings you live events as well! Explore Tampa’s history of supernatural tales and paranormal experiences with expert Deborah Frethem, and stop by for drink specials and get to know your fellow ghouls with PAUSE-O-Ween Happy Hour!
