Pelagia Trattoria’s celebrated Mother’s Day brunch returns Sunday, May 10, when the restaurant transforms its traditional dining room into a collection of cooking and carving stations and irresistible displays of fresh seafood on ice, roasted vegetables, house made pastas, imported cheeses and a selection of roasted meats and tasty sweets.
Enjoy favorites from this extensive buffet for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. One station will prepare made-to-order omelets until 3 p.m. when a pasta station begins featuring freshly made tortellini, ravioli and stuffed shells.
Youngsters get to select from a wide range of ingredients they can use to make mom a perfect meal at the Make-Mom-A-Pancake station where flapjacks will be flipping from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The Mother’s Day buffet brunch carving station features oven-roasted turkey and prime rib while the selection of seafood on ice includes poached shrimp, oysters and crab claws.
Rounding out the restaurant’s brunch items are platters of fresh fruits and berries, assorted grilled vegetables, sliced Italian meats, cheeses and a cold buffet featuring salads, ranging from organic greens to poached pears served with spinach as well as pasta and potato salads. The hot buffet will be filled with temptations like traditional Eggs Benedict and apple wood smoked bacon and pork sausage until 3 p.m. Starting at 3 p.m. select items, including grilled pork tenderloin, Cajun grilled salmon and chicken piccata, will be added to the impressive array of delicious dishes.
The cost is $49 per person for adults which includes a complimentary glass of sparkling wine (one per person). Children, ages 5 - 12, dine for $18. Prices do not include tax or gratuity. Guests dining from 5 - 8 p.m. will enjoy the same buffet for $39 for adults and $12 for children.
