Now that Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are officially over, it is time to start getting hyped for the holidays! And what better way than to watch a Christmas show with the family? Watching one in 4-D!

The Florida Aquarium is now featuring The Polar Express 4-D Experience in its new theater that opened back in October. Along with the visuals of a 3-D screening, the experience offers a variety of sensory effects built into its 48 seats. Bubbles, winds, and scents to complement the screening make for a truly unforgettable memory.

"We are very excited for the Tampa community to enjoy this unique addition to the Aquarium as we show The Polar Express 4-D Experience," said Roger Germann, President and CEO of The Florida Aquarium. "This is a great family-friendly film that will help us all get into the holiday spirit in addition to other holiday events we have going on at the Aquarium!"

The Polar Express 4-D Experience is focused around a 13-minute show and is included with general admission. It will be shown multiple times a day, and the aquarium is open from 10AM-4:30PM. Make sure to check it out before it ends on January 11, 2018! You don’t want to miss it.

And keep in mind that while you're celebrating the holidays, you're also supporting some great causes by just paying admission. The Florida Aquarium just opened a 400-acre conservation outpost on Apollo Beach that includes a sea turtle hospital, a coal ark nursery (designed to help study to how to rebuild coral reef, and a research station dedicated to studying sharks and rays. You can also hike and kayak your way around the site, and see some of the natural history of Florida recaptured. And don't forget the famous TECO Manatee Viewing Center, where "sea cows" come to enjoy the warm water created by the power plant.
