Welcome to the sixth edition of the 813area podcast with your co-hosts Collin Sherwin and Brock Bjorn! The guys bring you all there is to do in an action pack weekend that says sayonara to February and ahoy to March and the Spring Break Season. The guys start off by introducing Tampa Bay Beer Week which kicks off with the Florida Brewers Guild Craft Beer Festival and has an entire week long of events filled with beer and fun, the opening of the Florida Strawberry Festival where we find out Brock's favorite band that's performing, the Creative Loafing & Tampa Museum of Art present GASP! and the continuation of the Bay Area Renaissance Festival! With so much to do this weekend including the continuation of #Gasparilla SZN it's definitely a good idea to tune into your local pod guides to everything in your area.

The guys also talk about such events coming up like the Synapse Innovation Summit at the end of the month, an event bridging multiple disciplines in business, technology and innovation under one roof (or Arena!) including a special deal only available to those subscribed to 813area; and the Irish 31's Cheers To Pub-Lic Service which honors 20 influential teachers in our area with a $1000 cash prize.

Collin also invites Bill Sutton (12:00), the Founding Director of the Vinik Sports MBA Program at the University of South Florida. Collin and Bill talk about the importance of the program and the opportunities that students have being involved in such a high impact sports town locally, nationally and around the globe. Collin and Bill also briefly discuss the transit issue in the city and how it affects sporting event attendance.

Collin and Brock have expanded on a ton of events in our area so far this year, so if you like what you hear be sure to subscribe to the podcast on iTunesSoundCloud or your favorite podcast provider.
