TacoFest - Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park

To celebrate Cinco De Mayo on the water, head to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park where Tampa Riverfest 2019 will celebrate the holiday by hosting the 2nd Annual TacoFest. TacoFest will provide a delicious opportunity to try a variety of tacos and queso from local restaurants while enjoying all of the other aspects of Riverfest like the Wiener Dog Derby, Concert Series, Taco Eating Contest, Beer Tents, Margarita Bar and more. Taco wristbands will be sold at 3 tacos for $10 and 5 tacos for $15.

Besito Mexican Restaurant

Fresh and local Mexican ingredients are what you'll find at Besito. The warmth of a private hacienda and authentic dishes. Besito is celebrating Cinco all week long starting May 1st with daily drink specials and tequila tastings. They’re going to fiesta like there’s no mañana!

Miguel's Mexican Seafood & Grill

Cinco de Mayo Entertainment begins on May 1st as the Rough Riders are throwing a Pre-Cinco De Mayo Social at Macdinton’s with drinks specials galore. Then, on May 11th the celebrations continue as MacDinton’s hosts a taco and tequila-inspired bar crawl. You’ll begin the crawl at Macdinton’s and head to World of Beer, Yard of Ale and The Dubliner Irish Pub for tacos and tequila tastings throughout the evening.

On the 5th of May, summer starts at BarTaco as they raise a dragonfly glass and toasting to the unofficial kick-off to our favorite season on Cinco de Mayo. Starting at noon the local band "Joe Genuardi Duo" will be playing live music so if you want to get up and dance after a few shots (or margaritas) you are more than welcome!

If you prefer to celebrate at home, try this recipe for the Touch Ruby Red Grapefruit Margarita from Touch Vodka:

1 1/2 part Touch Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka

1/2 part triple sec

Splash lime juice

sweet & sour

grapefruit juice

Slat rim if wanted. Serve over ice chilled or frozen.
