Fresh Mouth, the beloved burger joint and home of countless late-night chow down sessions, is shutting its doors for good after 11+ years in the heart of the Centro Ybor complex in Ybor City, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Owner Joe Vigliarolo claims the closing is due to the eclectic restaurant's lease ending at its first floor location inside Centro Ybor and his own desire to relieve some of his daily duties.

Even still, this shouldn't be taken as a sign of Centro Ybor, or the district as a whole, dwindling in the slightest.  After the Fresh Mouth closure, Centro Ybor will remain around 90 percent occupied.  According to the Tribune, Fresh Mouth took up about 1 percent of the total square footage of the Centro Ybor complex.

Centro Ybor still remains up for sale after first being put on the market by its owners, Chicago-based real estate investment firm M&J Wilkow back in July.

Fresh Mouth's closing comes at a time where new restaurants like Jimmy John's and Carne Chophouse have opened inside the Centro Ybor complex in the past few months.  National wing chain Buffalo Wild Wings also has plans to renovate a large, historical building across from Centro Ybor and transform it into a new restaurant location.
