When you are staying in the Westshore District, you'll notice a few things: excellent restaurants, mirrored office buildings, and of course, Tampa's International Plaza Mall. There's plenty in the area in the way of shopping and entertainment, but when it comes to groceries, you may have to drive for a few minutes (or Uber), but you have plenty of options.

If you're visiting Downtown Tampa for a vacation, you're likely staying at one of the hotels in Tampa found on Harbor Island or Downtown. While there are no chain grocery stores in the area just yet, construction on a new Publix in the Channelside area is underway and expected to be completed in 2018. This quaint little specialty market tucked near a historic Middle School serves up delicious fresh made food, offers a nice wine selection and is a go-to spot during events along beautiful Bayshore Boulevard. Take a hike down the longest sidewalk in the world and visit this lovely grocery store along the way.

A prototype store, this one is different from the rest! Here the focus is on organic, locally sourced and prepared products, trends that can be seen across the board at grocery stores in Tampa. Find a large prepared meals section in this hip Soho grocery store.

Tampa visitors who head to Ybor City are in for a fun time in this eclectic, historic part of the city. While you can stroll 7th Ave and find any number of cigar bars, restaurants, entertainment venues and things to do in Ybor, you'll have to look a little more closely to find grocery stores in Ybor City.
