The Italian Club has been blessed to receive such broad community support though out those 21-years that helped make our celebration of Italian culture and traditions in Tampa such a resounding success.
From our humble beginnings in 1998 as what started out as a small gathering with family and friends, Festa has enjoyed significant growth to become one of the region’s most celebrated cultural events that draws thousands of attendees to the Ybor City district. It has been an honor and an extremely rewarding experience to organize a family-friendly event that has been so well embraced and loved by our community.
With producing an outdoor festival of our size and scope, it is an arduous undertaking that requires a dedicated team, long hours, and support from sponsors, local businesses and our local community. With changing times and rising costs, it was important that Festa Italiana itself must change and adapt with the ever-moving landscape. Change is often not easy, and it is sometimes absolutely necessary for continuation and survival. In an effort to ensure that the legacy of showcasing Italian culture in Tampa continues into the future, we are excited to announce our new format for Festa Italiana in 2019.
Programmed activities at ITALIAN HERITAGE DAY will include the annual bocce tournament and homemade vino competition, the Italian Club cooking tent, and a grape stomp. Our popular Wines of Italy party on Sunday, April 7, 2019 will expand from a Thursday wine tasting party to a Sunday daytime wine festival called WINEFEST OF ITALY.
With the Italian Club commemorating its 100-year anniversary, Festa Italiana looks forward to you and your loved ones joining us next April 2019 so that we can continue another 100-years of celebrating Italian culture and
