To kick off the start of their 2013-14 season, the Tampa Bay Lightning will host their free Fan Fest on Saturday, September 14 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

This free event is well-suited for Lightning fans of all ages looking to get a first glimpse of the 2013-14 Lightning team and all they have to offer.

Lightning Fan Fest will kick off at 8 a.m. when the team splits into three groups.  Each will hit the ice one after the other with the first starting at 8:30 a.m. and second at 10 a.m.

After that, the Lightning will host the Battle of the Badges Charity game where local police and firefighters will square off in a contentious game.  During the game, Lightning fans can visit the concourse for ree autographs from players on the first two practice squads.

The final practice squad will hit the ice afterward at 12:30 p.m. and begin signing autographs in the concourse at 2:30 p.m.

In addition to the games and autographs, those attending fan fest will also get the first opportunity to purchase single tickets at the McDonalds Box Office on the ground floor of the Forum.

Concession stands will be open throughout the course of Fan Fest offering a variety of discounted food and drinks throughout the Forum.  Food specials include $2 hot dogs, $1 sodas, $4 beers, $2 Little Caesars pizza slices, free popcorn and $2 coffee.
