Tons of wine, great food from some of Tampa's best independent restaurants, and the historically beautiful setting of Downtown Tampa and the Tampa Theatre will be the name of the game at Planet of the Grapes, Tampa Theatre's annual wine festival taking place from September 21 through 23.

It all kicks off on the night of Friday, September 21 at the legendary Mise En Place in Downtown Tampa.  Here, guests can get acquainted with the weekend of wine that's ahead of them with a delectable wine and meal pairing in the luxurious restaurant setting of Mise En Place.  There aren't too many specific details on the wine pairing yet, but expect a specialty, import wine brand to be highlighted and limited participation.

The main event will take place on Saturday, September 22 at the Tampa Theatre and feature a massive assortment of different wines and locally-crafted food rife for the tasting.  Here, festival-goers will be able to sample a variety of boutique wines, bid on dozens of silent auction items, and enjoy delectable fare from some of Tampa's most innovative and delicious independent restaurants.

The newest addition to the Tampa Theatre's annual wine festival is their Sunday wine brunch.  This year, Planet of the Grapes will host the wine brunch on the morning of September 23.  There will be a lavish brunch featuring morning after mimosas and select light wines.
