Tired of being crammed into a restaurant on Valentine's Day?  No worries, there are plenty of unique options in the Tampa area that don't involve breaking bread with strangers.

Or if wine is more your thing, there are several places offering wine tastings.  For only ten dollars you can go to ABC Fine Wine and Spirits on Gandy Blvd. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for their Tampa Valentine's Wine Tasting.  There are over 50 different wines to sample from and you'll be served appetizers which to go along with it.

A sunset cruise is a great way to relax with your sweetheart.  Set sail on the 50-foot Kai Lani Catamaran.  It leaves from the Clearwater Beach Municipal Marina at 6 p.m.  Tickets begin at $45.

If you're a sports fan, show your Tampa spirit and cheer on the Tampa Bay Lightning. They are playing the Washington Capitals at the Tampa Bay Times Forum at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets begin at just $19.

A budget-friendly option is to make a romantic meal at home.  Or pack a picnic basket and go to your local park and enjoy this amazing Florida weather.  You can take your picnic to the beach and enjoy a sunset walk.

Regardless of what you decide to do, there are still plenty of local options.  After all, it's the company that matters the most.
