This Friday many of our friends reading this site will celebrate that most high of high holidays, April 20th. And now that weed is legal in many places (though not yet here in Florida), there's much less of a stigma attached to the sticky icky, which is bringing the culture of marijuana out in the open.

But until 60% of Floridians vote to amend the state constitution, or our elected officials in Tallahassee pass some bills that presently look dead on arrival, you'll still have to observe this festivity from the privacy of you or your friend's home. Hopefully one with a comfortable couch, Netflix or Hulu, and a gaming system so you have some type of activity.

So we've put together this list of the best munchies food you can get delivered on 4/20 here in Tampa. Celebrate responsibly, friends, and enjoy these delicious treats for when hunger inevitably strikes!

Five Star Pizza - Tampa

I lived in Beta Hall, the worst of all the University of South Florida dorms, for a year in college. There was one debate that divided roommates, fraternities, and RA's alike at the time: Gumby's Pizza or Five Star? Gumby's closed years ago, probably because Pokey Stix were designed to addict and then eventually kill everyone that ate them.

But Five Star lives on, making fast, cheap, and pretty good pizza that delivers until 4 a.m. The pepperoni rolls are really good, but for basic Italian fare delivered when you're in no state to drive they are fantastic. Just don't offer to trade your product for the stuff your driver has: he or she is on the clock!

DP Dough

I live not too far from this place which is close to University of Tampa, and it's packed on Friday and Saturday nights with people scavenging after a night out on South Howard Ave. It's a mostly calzone-based menu, with plenty of choices from a "Meatball Zone" to "Drop Zone" of breaded chicken, pepperoni, mozzarella, parmesan, & ricotta. They also have regular and boneless wings, but what a lot of people in the neighborhood will be celebrating the holiday likely are the Cheesy Bacon Tater Tots. They come in two sizes: It's such stoner food it should come atop rolling papers.

Eddie and Sam's New York Pizza

This is some high-end smoke out stuff, as the slices are just massive and delicious. Eddie and Sam's is famous for importing their water from New York City to make their crust just right, but with favorites such as eggplant parmigiana pizza and a Greek Pizza with mozzarella, Feta cheese, fresh spinach, Kalamata olives, and roasted peppers, they bake absolute perfection for when you're baked yourself. They're not open super late, so this might best when celebrating at 4:20 instead of on 4/20, but it's a munchies meal not to be missed!

Tacoson Mexican Grill

We're adding this place because 1. UberEats and Postmates exist, and 2. someone in my office just said their nachos are the best thing to eat in North Tampa when, um, enjoying the finest hookah tobacco available! Steak, shredded beef, pork, chicken, or pork over homemade queso, refried beans, veggies, and sour cream. And that's before you add on all your other Mexican favorites like tacos, burritos, and chimichangas. This is fantastic food that will hit the spot after a smoke!

Hattrick's

The wings. Oh, the wings. They are legendary in Tampa, and they're available until late because the bar doesn't close until 3 a.m. We're not sure where they get the bleu cheese, but it's a bit different than the usual stuff we think, and it really hits the spot. Served mild, medium, Lightning, IRA, BBQ, or garlic parmesan, they are some of the best in Downtown Tampa and are not to be missed.

California Tacos To Go

As burritos go there's plenty of places to go in South Tampa, but there's only one that serves it with crispy french fries instead of rice & beans. Go ahead, think of a better stoner food. I'll wait.

You can also go delicious and slightly healthier with treats like their grouper fish taco, which mixes Florida and California cuisines perfectly, and landed them on Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives on the Food Network. Try any of their tacos or burritos with the Shrimp & Chorizo option: you won't be disappointed!
