If you’re from Tampa, you know about Ciccio Restaurant Group. You’ve probably been to one, two or all of their restaurants in Hyde Park such as Daily Eats, Green Lemon, Sweet Soul, and Ciccio's Water. And their newest concept opens later this month on the former site of the legendary Tavern SoHo

Taco Dirty is CRG's ninth-different brand, a Mexican eatery on the corner of Platt and Howard. And much like their other storefronts, it's likely to be a neighborhood hotspot the moment they start taking orders.

“Our food will be like an old-school taco stand in the middle of nowhere meets the health craze of our generation,” says David Pullman, a partner at CRG. He promises Taco Dirty will give Tampa a very different spin on Mexican food, a fast-casual restaurant with a culture and service style like their sister spot Fresh Kitchen.

Following with many other CRG concepts, Taco Dirty is based on the belief that living and eating healthy can be enjoyable. They'll serve well-rounded Mexican style bowls, tacos, quesadillas and tortas, and like Fresh Kitchen you'll pick the bases, veggies, proteins, sauces and add-ons for the food vessel of your choice.

And I'm only telling you this because I love you: yes, they are serving Green Lemon’s beloved queso.

The sleek pink and white interior and avocado-themed decor is perfect for your next Instagram. The patio features a turf floor, picnic tables and a ceiling providing customer's with shade if they choose to dine-in. A wall on the patio features a raining avocado mural that would make for the perfect background in your next selfie.

The soft opening is August 1st, where the new menu will be available for 50% off your first order.

And if your wondering where the quirky name came from? “Originally we were going to do Taco Dirty To Me but it was too much of a mouthful and it was too long. We kicked around another series of names but ended up coming back around full circle to Taco Dirty,” said Pullman
