There is no shortage of apartments in Tampa, but your search may become a little more difficult when you have a pet to accommodate also. Pets are not just the animals we choose to care for; they are a part of our families. When searching for an apartment, it’s hard to find a space that meets the needs of both you and Mr. Scruffy.  Some apartments don’t accept any pets, and others accept them under strict qualifications. Finding pet friendly apartments can prove to be a challenge.  If you’re looking for places that are open to you and your pets, here are some places to consider:

Paddock Club, BayLaye, and Charleston Landings are pet friendly apartment complexes in Brandon that accept both cats and dogs with no weight restrictions. Just like many other complexes dogs are restricted to non-aggressive breeds. Brandon is a great area to consider if you are looking for immediate access to shopping, restaurants and various community amenities in Tampa.

Downtown Tampa is a great place to live if you are a young professional or if you just want to be in the thick of it all. With lots of luxury apartments and condominiums, you shouldn’t have a hard time finding one to meet your personal pet standards. Downtown Tampa is also close to other areas of great entertainment like Channelside and Ybor city.

Post Hyde Park, situated in the historic district of Hyde Park is a pet friendly apartment open to cats, dogs, fish and caged birds. All animals must receive approval of management.  Reptiles and other exotic pets are not approved, but service animals are welcomed free of charge.  Hyde Park is a great choice if you like historic urban flare.

North Tampa is a great area for families and college students. The neighborhood is filled with great shopping and great restaurants. Displayed boldly on the front page, St. Croix is a luxury pet friendly apartment.  Full grown animals 35lbs and under are welcomed with a small pet fee. Exotic  animals and those on the restricted list will have to find another place to call home.

Pet owners all over Tampa Bay are forced to decide to keep their animals elsewhere or find an affordable apartment that is also pet friendly. With so many pet friendly properties in Tampa, you no longer have to decide between you or your pet
