It's a good time for electronic dance music (EDM) in America right now.  This once-niche genre of music made fun of for it's drugged-out, hyper colored culture is now sweeping across our musical landscape with huge artists like Britney Spears and Beyonce linking up with notable DJs like Rusko, Diplo for their radio friendly hits.

Tune into any modern pop station in the evening hours of a Friday night and you're sure to hear some tinges of  EDM subgenres like house and dupstep infiltrating the airwaves.

Identity Festival, a traveling, all-day fest highlighting some of the best in the EDM game right now just seems like the next logical step with the burgeoning popularity of this great category of  music.

Lucky for those in Tampa Bay, it's hitting the 1-800-ASK-GARY Ampitheatre on Wednesday, August 24th for a day of sweat-soaked, bass thumping fun on a massive scale.

Massive like, three stages massive.  The Skullcandy Main Stage will work as the headliner stage for the big acts while the Rockstar Energy Drink and Advent Stages will work as the setting for the supporting acts.

So, who can you expect to see at Identity Fest?  Top dance acts including Kaskade, Pretty Lights, Rusko and more will be taking the helm at the main stage while dance-legend DJ Shadow, as well as Steve Aoki, Doorly, White Shadow and a ton more will be at the supporting stages.  A full line up can be seen below.

Strap up those dancin' shoes Tampa Bay.  Identity Festival is coming in fast and will definitely be an awesome time to remember.
