Are you looking for something fun and affordable to do with your family in Riverview for Halloween 2018? On October 27, 2018, The Greater Riverview Chamber of CommerceHillsborough County Sheriff's Office, and the Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation Department will host the 30th Anniversary of Trick or Treat Street at Riverview High School. If you have been to Trick or Treat Street in the past, make sure to note the event has new times for 2018, starting at 2 p.m.and ending at 6 p.m. 

Trick or Treat Street is one of the biggest events each fall in the SouthShore area, with thousands of families passing through for candy, fun games, and giveaways from area businesses and vendors. Admission to 30th Anniversary of Trick or Treat Street is free, and parking is a $5 donation per car. Wristbands for kids to have unlimited play on inflatable games will be an additional $5 at the event. There are also a variety of food vendors for you to choose from if you want something more than Halloween candy you just stocked up on! Pediatric Associates Tampa Bay will be providing free bags for trick-or-treaters to stock up on candy while supplies last. Food vendors will include: C and J  Speciality,  Fuzzy's Taco Shop - BrandonKona Ice, Papa John's pizza, and PDQ of Riverview. 

“2018 marks 30 years for Trick or Treat Street, something I have been proud to be part of for the last seven years," said Jerry Rothstein, owner of Keep I.T. Simple Computer Services, LLC and co-chairman of Trick or Treat Street. "Seeing the smiling faces of the children when they pass by the over 50 candy booths is worth all the hard work. This may be the only opportunity for some of these families to celebrate Halloween with their kids for one reason or another, so the Riverview community pulls out all the stops for this event.”

There are plenty of other fun activities to do with Trick Or Treat Street, including a costume contest for children ages 0-15, sponsored by Uptown Suites, and a costume contest for dogs that attend. The dog costume contest is sponsored by Four Paws Veterinary Hospital, proceeds will benefit Critter Adoption and Rescue Effort, Inc.

The businesses, churches, community groups that have booths compete for awards based on booth decorations. Since 2018 is an election year, plenty of local candidates and elected officials will have booths providing giveaways and info for parents to get final questions answered before voting! 

Come have a fun time at an affordable price with your family for Halloween 2018 at the 30th Anniversary of Trick or Treat Street, it is one of the premiere family events people look forward to each year in SouthShore and Riverview! Riverview High School is located at 11311 Boyette Rd, Riverview, FL 33569. Trick or Treat Street takes place on the Driver's Education area, off of Balm Riverview Road.
