West Tampa is so cool, from Ybor history to Floribbean fare. Now you can experience the flavor of this charming historic Tampa neighborhood on Sunday, Nov. 10 from 11 am – 4 pm at the FLAVOR OF WEST TAMPA: SANGRIA and CIGARS. The party will convene in the scenic Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park (1001 N Blvd.) in West Tampa.

The 8th annual event features Tampa Bay favorites The Black Honkeys Band! The family fun event showcases local restaurants, craft beer, wine and Sangria, entertainment, games, dominoes and free giveaways. Last year, 2,500 attended this popular event.

Among the many delicious food and beer vendors expected at Flavor of West Tampa are Mr. Empanada, Ya Boys BBQ, El Gallo de Oro and Bay Cannon Beer Company with more signing up each day.There will be a domino tournament inside the River Center sponsored by Vincent Tampa Cigars, where you can watch the traditional game played by some of the best and purchase cigars.

In addition to the Black Honkeys, there will be multicultural live music and dance by Soul Caribe, Belinda Womack, African dance troupe Kuumba Dancers and flamenco dancing.Best of all, it’s a party with a cause; proceeds benefit the Judeo Christian Health Clinic.

The event is free. Tickets are available to purchase for food and beverages and VIP tickets are $75.

One of the most exciting things happening in West Tampa near the park is the West River development, which will turn the west bank of the Hillsborough River into a new focal point with 840 public housing apartments, 1,200 homes priced at market rate and 90,000 square feet of retails to a 150-acre area of the city that for years was neglected.
