This year’s annual SeaGrapes event will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 8-11 p.m. Friends of the fishes and foodies alike can bring their passions for conservation and gourmet food together at The Florida Aquarium’s signature fundraiser. On this night, when all proceeds benefit the Aquarium’s education, conservation, and animal care programs, guests can enjoy an evening of gourmet cuisine from various local restaurants.
Presented by Amalie Motor Oil, SeaGrapes has become one of The Florida Aquarium’s largest and most anticipated fundraising events over the past 18 years. It provides guests with a fun and engaging experience in a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere, all while being able to enjoy amazing food, wine and aquatic animals. The Aquarium hopes guests will join their mission in restoring our piece of the blue planet. 100% of the proceeds from your ticket will support this mission.

Not only will you be supporting a good cause, but you will be able to enjoy more than 100 types of wine, food from numerous acclaimed, local restaurants, and an entire night of entertainment. Guests will even be granted access to all the Aquarium’s amazing exhibits that feature over 8,000+ and plants. There will also be a silent auction in which guests can bid on a number of different auction items like adventure supplies, arts and culture items, fashion, sports, luxury and more.

Attendees will be contributing to ocean conservation and education efforts, including The Florida Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center in Apollo Beach, which allows the Aquarium magnify sea turtle rescue and recovery efforts. Another important project the Aquarium is working on is their Coral Arks project, which is their greenhouse nurseries in which they raise various species of coral to restore the ones affected by disease along the Florida Reef Tract.

The Aquarium works to protect and restore animal species and their habitats and they focus on three animals that play major roles in managing the big blue ocean: sea turtles, sharks, and coral, the building blocks of marine habitats. Supporting the SeaGrapes event not only supports The Aquarium, it supports the very vital ocean organisms that are being threatened and endangered right now.

“One of The Florida Aquarium’s goals is to be a leader for aquatic animal conservation and research, and our signature fundraiser event SeaGrapes helps us to obtain that goal,” said Roger Germann, President, and CEO. “It’s an exciting time to bring people together in support of our Blue Planet conservation efforts. SeaGrapes is going to be a great celebration of our ocean and our community of ocean supporters.”

There will be VIP tickets being sold with which guests will receive exclusive early access to the event from7-8pm with a red carpet arrival. There will also be a rooftop VIP-only area with exclusive food and wines.
