Huzzah! The Bay Area Renaissance Festival has returned to Tampa! This beloved annual festival will be held at the Museum of Science and Industry once again through weekends from February 16 to March 31.
The Bay Area Renaissance Festival features a wide variety of attractions perfect for the entire family. Guests at the Ren Fest, as enthusiasts call it, can expect everything from traditional live music to armored jousting, tons of games, great food, numerous vendors, and much more.
Get transported back to the 16th century as you traverse the fairgrounds and encounter all the lively characters and villages of the Bay Area Renaissance Festival. Browse vendors peddling goods including leather clothing and accessories, musical instruments, jewelry, fine art, glassware, and pottery.
You'll get a taste of the Renaissance at one of the many food and beverage vendors at the festival. Chow down on a humongous smoked turkey leg or get dangerous and go for a Scotch egg which, if you don't know, is a hard-boiled egg encased in sausage and deep fried.
Some new attractions being offered at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival this year are a Bloody Mary bar, an ax-throwing station called the Battle Axe Pub and an aerial acrobatics act. You'll also get to see a live unicorn as you roam the festival and enjoy in some friendly competition with your friends with Bow Blast. And don’t forget to stop by the Giant Puppet Troupe!
The Bay Area Renaissance Festival is open rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday from now until March 31. Tickets to the festival are $21.95 in advance for adults, $17.95 for seniors, and $13.95 for kids.
