Huzzah! The Bay Area Renaissance Festival has returned to Tampa! This beloved festival is held once again at Museum of Science and Industry every Saturday and Sunday through March 29.

The festival is going on for one more month, but don't tarry (as they would say)! Make your plans to come to the Bay Area Renaissance Festival at least once over the next several themed weekends:

Pirates & Pups - February 29 and March 1

Barbarian Brew Fest - March 7 and 8

Shamrocks & Shenanigans - March 14 and 15

High Seas Adventure - March 21 and 22

Wonders of the World - March 28 and 29

The Bay Area Renaissance Festival is a must if you live in Bay area because this fun-filled event has something for everyone from great food, tons of games, and shopping to comedy shows and other entertainment you'd expect to see during the Renaissance like live jousting.

In addition to fair games, kids will also enjoy a playground, petting zoo, and pony, elephant, and camel rides.

You'll truly feel like you've been transported back to the 16th century as you traverse the fairgrounds and encounter all the lively characters and villages of the Bay Area Renaissance Festival.

While you're wondering through the villages, browse market vendors peddling goods including costumes, leather goods, jewelry, artwork, knickknacks, toys, and bath products. You can even get a palm or tarot card reading!

Then get a taste of the Renaissance at one of the many food and beverage vendors at the festival. Chow down on a humongous smoked turkey leg or go for a Scotch egg which, if you don't know, is a hard-boiled egg encased in sausage and deep-fried. (They also have modern food for those who aren't so daring.)

The Bay Area Renaissance Festival is open rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday now through March 29. Tickets to the festival are $19.95 in advance for adults, $17.95 for seniors and $11.95 for kids ages five through 12.
