Most weeks it is challenging to narrow my list down to Ten Things to Do in Tampa, this week is a bit different. Quieter, THIS was the week to pick if you were a promoter looking for a weekend where your event was not competing with another. Though there are few true 'events' this week in Tampa Bay, we live in the perfect area when it comes to finding fun, engaging outdoor recreation in Tampa. Our list this week includes a mix of events happening in Tampa, places to go, things to do and see in Tampa.
Celebrate the culture and community of craft brewers across the U.S. with The Brewers Association as once again they assemble American Craft Beer Week from May 15-21st. Local Tampa Breweries offer weekly special deals and up the fun in honor of 'the craft' of brewing.
Enjoy 'epic' as in epicurean street food and ice cold, well crafted small batch beers alongside suds from some of the larger breweries like 3 Daughters Brewing and Big Storm Brewing at this 1st annual local foodie, and craft beer festival held at the Port from 6 pm - 9 pm.
At this Buc QB's two-day camp, Jameis Winston and pro coaches will offer tips and hands-on instruction, including lectures, fundamental football skills stations, contests, and non-contact games. No worries moms and dads, campers will be placed into small groups by age to ensure that each child gets maximum instruction. This thing to do is great for athletes of all skill levels. Awards will be given in each age group along with personalized fun gifts. For more information, please contact Alex at firstname.lastname@example.org or click the link above.
One of our fave groups, the Tampa Bay Moms Group invites you to their annual Family Fair! This year enjoy the new venue fitting for the massive amount of family fun they pack into this family friendly fun day in Tampa! Water Works Park is the place to be this Saturday from 11 am - 5 pm.
Join many local Tampa restaurants as they battle for annual bragging rights in this tasty competition and fundraiser. Vying for the title “Best Burger in Tampa Bay”, a portion of the proceeds benefits The VooDoo Chef Foundation and their culinary charities. The Burger Showdown is FREE to attend!! Burger sampling tickets and beverages are available for purchase. Burger Sampling Tickets allow for the event attendee to sample (1) burger from each of the restaurants competing in Burger Showdown and vote on their favorite, resulting in the 'People's Choice Award'. A panel of local celebrity and culinary judges award the 'Best Burger in the Bay', 'Best Beef Burger', 'Where's The Beef?' (chicken, veggie, etc.), 'Best Use of Bacon', 'Bring the Heat', 'Best Side Dish' and 'Best Use of VooDoo Sauce'. Look for favorite players and prior winners to bring their best to this consistently well-done (pun not intended) thing to do in Tampa Bay. Sponsored by Budweiser, there will be plenty of suds and sunshine onhand!
