Whether you live in the Tampa Bay area or are in town for a quick trip, you’ll want to experience all that Tampa has to offer. From concerts to food trucks, to comedians and sporting events, you’re bound to be entertained. Here are the top ten things going on in Tampa Bay this weekend!
If you need a good laugh this weekend, Steve Byrne is coming to the Tampa Improv Comedy Club on Thursday night! This is an event you don't want to miss! Steve Byrne was the star and creator of Sullivan & Son, a half hour comedy on TBS along with Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Productions for three solid seasons. Your sides will hurt after a night at the Improv Club in Tampa!
If you’ve stuffed yourself at the Mayor’s Food Truck Fiesta and dancing it off seems like the only resolve, tickets are still available to see Panic at the Disco at the Amalie Arena on Wednesday night. Tickets can still be purchased for as low as $65 so I would snatch them up quickly!
If country music is more of your taste, Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town are performing this Friday at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Tickets are still available for as low as $35 per person. Friendly reminder: cheap seating for this concert is outdoors on the field of the fairground so bring blankets and lawn chairs!
For the ultimate festival goer or music lover, the final full Vans Warped Tour is this year which means if you haven’t been to see it, now’s your chance. This Saturday at the Florida State Fairgrounds will be the second to last stop on the tour! Not to mention, there are going to be 53 bands performing on Saturday. Tickets are going for as low as $58 for General Admission
After a week of food and field-filled-fun at the Miranda Lambert concert and you need a little comic relief, Kevin Hart’s show might be just what you need. Kevin Hart will be performing live at the Amalie Arena and tickets can be purchased for as low as $56. For all of you Snapchat and Instagram lovers, you might be a little disappointed. Kevin Hart has made a statement that cell phones will be prohibited from the arena so here’s a reminder to leave your phones at home the night of the event.
Similarly to Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town’s performance, Kesha and Macklemore are teaming up to throw a one-of-a-kind concert this weekend too. Lawn seats will also be available at the Florida State Fairgrounds and can be purchased for $30.50.
For a family-fun weekend, look no further than the Tampa Bay Youth Sports Expo. The expo will only take place on Saturday and gives kids aged 5-15 “the opportunity to sharpen their skills while learning invaluable information that is applicable in both sport and life.” Enjoy music from a DJ, vendors, games and interactive skills zones, there’s plenty to see and do at the expo. Even better, the expo is completely free!
For the dubstep and electronic music lovers out there, Rusko is playing at the Ritz Ybor this Saturday! General admission tickets are still available for $68. Keep in mind; this concert is later than the other ones listed with a show time of 10 pm and anyone 17 and under is prohibited
If the revving of engines and watching jeeps off-road gets your gears turning then the Tampa Bay Jeep Fest is the place for you this weekend. Tickets are still available for the multi-day event or even an all-weekend pass
If you want to visit Tampa’s largest true comic con, look no further than the Tampa Bay Comic Con. There, you’ll find a love for comic books, art, stories, and pop-culture. A 3-day pass to the event will set you back $60 (not including tax) and children 12 and under are free. The Tampa Bay Comic Con also has an app if you’re interested in the full programming schedule.
