Pssghetti's Italian Market and Restaurant Honors Angelo Dundee
People Attending Angelo Dundee’s Corner Grand Opening
Hell’s Kitchen Star Chef Robert Hesse and his restaurant Pssghetti’s Italian Market and Restaurant pay homage to an incredible sports notable, boxing corner man Angelo Dundee with Angelo Dundee’s Corner. The grand unveiling takes place on February 25, 2011 from 5:00 to 10:00 PM, where you can come and meet Angelo Dundee, Chef Hesse and other celebrities.
Everyone will get the chance to meet Hell’s Kitchen Season 5 winner Danny, and 11 other contestants from Season 5 and 6, including fan favorite Van.
The addition is a prototype of the full size restaurant which will appear in either Miami, Florida or Las Vegas, Nevada by Super Bowl 2012. The Angelo Dundee’s Corner will be found in each of the Pssghetti’s and future Pssghetti’s.
This corner not only honors Angelo Dundee, but all the great fighters who made an impact on the sport of Boxing.
Angelo Dundee was the famed corner man and trainer for Legendary Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Muhammad Ali among others. His career produced many legends in the boxing world and of course, many world champions.
The official ribbon cutting starts at 5:00 PM, and the festivities will transpire throughout the night.
At 6:00 PM the “Pssghetti’s World Cup Championship” showdown begins placing 7 wounded war veterans from all branches of the armed forces including the Navy Seals in a culinary showdown with Hell’s Kitchen contestants. Each participant will have a basket with 10 items, which they will have to create 3 dishes.
The contest will be judged by Angelo Dundee, Tampa Bay Buccaneer Derrick Brooks, and others. The second part of the competition takes place Saturday, February 26th at 9:00 AM when Hell’s Kitchen Contestants will go head to head with the Veterans in a paintball contest. The winner will be crowned “Pssghetti’s World Cup Champion” after the paintball contest.
You’ll see the unveiling of a portrait by Artist, Jaycee of Willie Pastrano and Angelo Dundee – Pastrano was one of Dundee’s Champions.
In addition, everyone who attends will get the opportunity to rub elbows with legendary boxers like Pinklon Thomas, New York Yankee’s Billy Connors and many more.
