Friday, March 17th Tampa

Tea and Charity! ~  Panera Bread - Westshore 6:00 am to close
Visit Panera Bread  - Westshore Friday and order an iced green tea with your meal.  Sit back and relax knowing 100%  of the proceeds go to support the Children's Cancer Center.

Victoriana in Fashion and Food ~  Henry B Plant Museum Menus: The Epicurean Experience (opening day) 10:00 am
See original menus, interesting utensils and more from the famous Tampa Bay Hotel as a way to explore the Victorian experience. Ever wonder why they chose certain foods, how it was prepared before the invention of the modern conveniences we take for granted today. (namely Publix, lol). Savor opening day of the museum's latest exhibit while enjoying period entertainment and fashion. Museum admission is $10 adult, $7 seniors, and students, $5 kids 4-12, and members are free.

Comedic Relief! Josh Wolf at Tampa Improv Comedy Club multiple shows, early show at 8 pm
Josh Wolf held down a recurring role on the late-night show, Chelsea Lately, and is now hosting The Josh Wolf Show, on CMT.  This is your chance to catch this funny man live! Tickets start at $20.

Help Homeless Vets at Battle of the Bands: Jamfest ~ Friday and Saturday 10 am to 10 pm 
This 2-day event takes place at Williams Park, in Downtown St Petersburg. Over 10,000 people are expected to attend where they can enjoy a Kids Zone, good music, plenty of sunshine and beautiful weather, great food, cold beer and much more in an effort to raise awareness to help homeless Veterans. Friday features a music competition by 25 finalists voted into the lineup via an online competition. Each band/ group performs for a chance to win a slice of the $10,000 offered in cash prizes, a record deal and more. Saturdays lineup includes a music concert and exciting art installations, dancing and more or just kick back and enjoy the scenery and sounds! Tickets vary, click through to the ticket site. Tickets begin at $15 up to $220 VIP. This is a pet-friendly event.

Play Ball! Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training vs. Toronto Blue Jays at Spectrum Field (formerly Bright House Field) 1:05 pm
The Phillies and Jays acknowledge St. Patrick's Day with themed activities and green attire on the field!  Come for the fun, and wear your green! Tickets range from $14-$39.

Food Trucks Unite to Honor The French Fry! St. Pete French Fry Festival at the Port of St. Petersburg 6 pm
Celebrate everything French Fry, with an array of food trucks when for the first time they unite, each serving up yummy potato treats along with frosty cold beers and wine. Enjoy music as you dine along the waterfront and take a tour of the Sir Winston cruise ship this Friday night beginning at 6 pm.  The Festival is free to attend, food and drinks are additional.

Saturday, March 18th Tampa

Ready for some Shenanigans Shamrocks & Shenanigans at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival Festival Grounds at MOSI - Museum of Science & Industry 10:30 am 4:30 pm

Craft Beer fan who loves Astronomy? Grown-Up Science: Beer and Planet Nine at  MOSI - Museum of Science & Industry 6 pm
Join MOSI's Space Programs Director Professor Antonio Paris to discuss Planet Nine, a HUGE hypothetical planet that may be circling the Sun at the edge of the Solar System. Enjoy telescope viewings and beer samples from the Brew Bus USA,. 21 and older only. Cost. $15, only $10 for MOSI members.

Concert at USF Casting Crowns at the Sun Dome 7 pm
This contemporary Christian rock band brings their "Very Next Thing" tour with American Idol Danny Gokey and Unspoken to the USF Sun Dome.Tickets run between $26-$76.

Got a runner? Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon at Adventure Island 7 am
If your little runner is age 6 to 14  they can compete against other kids running, biking and swimming around Adventure Island in Adventure Island's annual youth triathlon. Food Wine, Rollercoasters, and a Concert. Busch Gardens Food and Wine Festival presents Young the Giant - Park opens at 9:00 am, the concert is at 7:00 pm. 
Along with the cost of park admission for an extra charge, you can enjoy sample size portions of gourmet food, wine, and cocktails, and attend a free concert by Young the Giant!  You will also find stunning horticultural displays, roller coasters, games, animals, beer and more throughout the park. FREE Airplane rides for Kids! Young Eagles Flight Rally at the Clearwater Airpark 8 am
Kids ages 8 to 17 can fly and explore Clearwater for free this Saturday beginning at 9 am.  Flights are 15-minutes and piloted by volunteer pilots. Let your little adventurer have one-on-one time with an expert as they experience flight, learn how airplanes work and flight safety. They earn a certificate to remember the experience.  Find out if piloting is in your child's future! This is an amazing opportunity!

Like art and exploring new places? Chalk ART and Fresh Air in quaint Safety Harbor Main Street 10:00 am

Ride the Ferry FREE! Ride the Cross Bay Ferry Free from the St. Petersburg Museum of History to Tampa 7 am to evening
 “Test the Waters” with a FREE 50-minute trip across Tampa Bay between downtown. St. Petersburg and the Tampa Convention Center on the popular Cross Bay Ferry The free rides are first come, first served and cannot be reserved in advance. Explore St. Pete's waterfront shops and restaurants, then head over to Tampa's famed Riverwalk for a stroll. Stop into Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina for a cocktail or cold beer and a delicious bite on the patio before heading back. Departure times very, click over to their website to see times. This is a FREE event with restrictions: Powered by Frontier Communications; Free round trip passes are available to walk-up customers only, free of charge on a first-come-first-served basis. Tickets CANNOT be reserved online or obtained in advance. Passes for Sunday's trips will be available starting at 10 AM in both St. Petersburg & Tampa ticketing offices. (St. Pete 5:30 PM departure passes will be available at 11 AM.) Free passes are in limited quantities and limited trip availabilities. Limit two (2) passes per person.
