Howl-O-Scream

Go to Busch Gardens for one heck of a fright night this weekend as Howl-O-Scream opens up for its first weekend of scares! Busch Gardens’ haunted houses are returning with a vengeance, but the scares don’t stop there. Unspeakable horror lives in every dark corner, including on Busch Gardens’ pulse-pounding thrill rides and new, gruesome realm recommended for guest over the age of 17. 

Lunafest Film Festival

On Saturday, Soroptimist International of Tampa will present LUNAFEST, a fundraising film festival featuring nine short films made by, for, and about women. Support this movement in helping women succeed in the film industry and see some excellent short films that will leave you speechless. The festival helps benefit women and girls locally and globally by donating to the following causes: Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women, Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls, Teen Dating Violence Bookmarks, Teen Achievers and Mentoring, Soroptimist STOP Human Trafficking.

Oktoberfest at The Landing

Nothing goes better with a pint of beer than jumbo pretzels with beer cheese, schnitzel, beer brats & kraut and German potato salad. If you agree, head to The Landing for their Oktoberfest this weekend and enjoy cold pints with authentic German fare. All proceeds from Valrico’s largest party go to the Annual Turkey Food Drive for Metropolitan Ministries and The Landing Charities Inc.

Niall Horan Concert

Still consider yourself a One Directioner? Niall Horan, an old member of the boy band, is headed to the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre this weekend on his Flicker World Tour. Hear some of your favorite of Niall’s hits like “Slow Hands” and “This Town” this Saturday Night!

USF vs ECU Game

Attention Bulls and Bull Fans: Head to Raymond James for another USF game this Saturday Night versus the East Carolina Pirates. The Bulls are 3-0 with wins over the ACC (Georgia Tech) and Big 10 (Illinois), and look like they might be for real. This is their conference opener, with ECU having just beat North Carolina two weeks ago before having their entire team move to Orlando due to Hurricane Florence. 

MegaCon Tampa Bay

Everyone is a fan of something and MEGACON Tampa, the pop culture convention with specials guests from both Movies and TV, is headed to the Tampa Convention Center this weekend. Get an autograph from David Mazouz or Sean Pertwee from Gotham or take a picture with Jeffrey Dean Morgan from The Walking Dead to post on your Instagram! Fall Family Festival

If you want to spend time with your family this weekend head to the Fall Family Festival at Water Works Park in Downtown Tampa! There will be fun for everyone, including your furry friends too. A Mini Food Truck Rally for charity, shopping, and of course free samples and resources for families.

Wagner Family Dinner at Del Frisco’s Grille

Calling all Foodies and Sommeliers: Get a ticket to the Wagner Family Wine Dinner to enjoy five courses of fine wine and cuisine from Del Frisco’s Grille. The dinner will cost you $115 per person, but with two different and perfectly prepared steaks on the menu, it’s well worth it!
